New Release: Sunday night, 11/01, available Monday 11/02
Feature Enhancements:
Allowing students to send a mobile link of a Family Playlist to their family partners
Currently, if a student start working on an assigned Family Playlist on a computer, they aren’t able to upload photos or videos from the Family Exploration take on their phone onto the playlist. Now they can send a link of the Family Playlist that they are currently working on to a phone number directly from the Family Exploration and Family Feedback pages. In this process, we’ll also enable students to link family partners whose phone numbers they send the playlist to. We hope that this enhancement will increase the percent of students who complete Family Playlists.
Two new buttons with the same functionality are being added on the Family Exploration page: “Complete on Phone” and “Add Image or Video from Phone”:
When student clicks the button, they have an option of:
Sending the link to an existing linked family partner;
Add a new family partner and send the link to this family partner;
Send the link to a single-use number without registering a new family partner.
Simplifying the Mobile Preview
We are reducing the number of clicks a teacher has to make to preview a mobile version of a Family Playlist. We are eliminating the first step where teacher had to choose where to display the mobile version, on a desktop or send a link to the phone. Now, when teacher clicks the “Mobile Preview” button, a mobile version of a Family Playlist is immediately displayed in a new window. Teacher will still have an option to enter the phone number to send a link to review on a phone.
In addition, the mobile preview will have the “Learn” activity expanded so it’ll be easier for teachers to see what content is in the Family Playlist.
We hope you enjoy this release as much as this dog is enjoying jumping into this pile of leaves. But always, please feel free to ask me any questions!
Feature Enhancements in Upcoming Releases:
Improving the user experience for a teacher assigning Family Playlists
Sending automated platform emails from Hubspot instead of PMLC to enable us to measure their effectiveness
Making it easier for teachers to assign Family Playlist without first linking family partners
Improving the user experience of a teacher finding Certified Family Playlist content in the Library page
